Water Damaged Furniture in Houston, TX

This curio cabinet was affected during the Hurricane Harvey flooding in Houston. There is an extensive amount of microbial growth along the back of the cabinet. The demand for a storage unit at the time was extremely high, resulting in a shortage of climate-controlled facilities. Therefore, the unit this piece was stored in was not climate-controlled. Because it was still wet when placed in storage, mold growth accumulated due to humidity inside the unit.

Our client called us out to inspect the furniture to determine what (if anything) was salvageable, and what was not. We picked up the furniture and transferred it back to our shop to dry it out and clean it. Our technicians HEPA vacuumed, sanitized, and ozoned all of the damaged furniture.

The after photo shows a cleaned and restored curio cabinet. Our client was hoping we could salvage his mother’s priceless heirloom furniture so that they can continue passing it on through the generations to follow. He was thrilled with the results, and we are so happy to have been able to help this family during this trying time in their lives.
